Más Allá de Bariátrica: Revisión de la Literatura sobre las Posibles Consecuencias Psíquicas de la Cirugía

La cirugía bariátrica es actualmente el tratamiento principal para la obesidad, requiere cambios importantes en la rutina e impacta la salud mental de los sujetos presentados. Esta revisión tiene como objetivo investigar las principales consecuencias psicológicas de la bariátrica. Mediante de la encuesta de artículos científicos en las bases de datos PsyInfo, SciELO y PubMed y el análisis de los estudios, fue posible discutir los efectos psíquicos y las principales estrategias utilizadas por los profesionales en este campo. En total, se analizaron 44 obras. Los principales rasgos psicológicos encontrados fueron depresión, calidad de vida, ansiedad, auto imagen, trastornos alimentarios y vida social. En cuanto a las estrategias utilizadas por los profesionales, el principal fue la sensibilización, a través de actividades psicoeducativas y grupos terapéuticos. Por tanto, se perciben los impactos psiquiátricos de la cirugía bariátrica, tanto en la mejora de la calidad de vida y la vida social, como en la aparición de estados depresivos y ansiosos, y en la conciencia de todo el proceso y la complejidad de la bariátrica como facilitadora para afrontar estos aspectos.
