Covid-19 y Salud Mental de los Estudiantes Universitarios: Una Revisión Integradora Internacional

Resumen

Este artículo presenta una revisión integradora de la producción científica internacional sobre los impactos de la pandemia covid-19 en la salud mental de los estudiantes universitarios. Se analizaron 44 artículos encontrados en las bases de datos LILACS, PubMed, PsycInfo y SciElo, que muestran que el covid-19 ha provocado un deterioro significativo en la salud mental de la comunidad académica, a nivel mundial, generando principalmente síntomas moderados y severos de ansiedad y depresión. Es necesario que las instituciones de educación superior tengan conocimiento sobre este hecho y creen mecanismos de escucha y apoyo psíquico para que se brinde mejores condiciones en el enfrentamiento de la condición actual.
