Psychometric Properties of the Brazilian Version of the Battelle Developmental Inventory Screening: Children up to Two Years Old

Introducción: El Battelle Developmental Inventory Screening fue adaptado para Brasil (BDIS-BR), pero sus propiedades psicométricas aún no han sido probadas. El objetivo de este estudio fue investigar la evidencia psicométrica del BDIS-BR en 282 niños menores de dos años. Métodos: La validez basada en la estructura interna se verificó mediante Modelos de Mokken y la validez convergente y concurrente se verificó mediante tendencias de edad y comparación con el Test de Denver II. Resultados: El BDIS-BR resultó ser una medida unidimensional y el ordenamiento empírico de los ítems fue igual al original. En cuanto a la validez convergente y concurrente, los resultados del BDIS-BR muestran una fuerte asociación positiva con la edad de los niños (ρ= 0,92; p = 0,001) y altos niveles de concordancia con el Test Denver II (86% a 96%). Conclusión: El BDIS-BR es un instrumento de evaluación del desarrollo infantil con buenas propiedades psicométricas y puede contribuir a la evaluación de los niños brasileños.
